T-Shirts - the modern fashion statement

How many t-shirts do you own? How many do you reckon you own, and how about those moments when your eyes light up discoverying a long forgotten t-shirt you found behind the sofa, cabinet, drawer, wardrobe, or storage, that was so cool at the time, guess is, they are probably cooler now! The problem is do they still fit? if so quite impressive!

Even if you usually do not habitually wear t-shirts, whether to  hit the gym, or hit the dance club, there’s a good chance that you have at least one that, judging by its design, could be worn just as much to make a fashion statement when it comes to comfort that made t-shirts famous.

T-shirts began life as an underwear warmer for U.S. sailors through the Spanish-American War of 1898 to 1913, then around the 1950s, it became a standard issue in the modern American military especially with the navy.

If you could point to one particular t-shirt and say that’s the one which changed everything, it would almost certainly be the iconic Che Guevara t-shirt.

T-Shirts Quickly became a vehicle for making powerful statements regarding the wearer, by just being seen.

And since the gate to self-expression opened, there’s nowhere that t-shirts haven’t gone. Now majorly in top fashion runways around the world.

T-Shirts have become such a fashion statement that they can command price tags from a humble $5.99 up to $700

No major menswear designer worth their salt would exclude at least a modest collection of t-shirts in their own offerings, each season. Some fashion outlets deal exclusively in t-shirts of various designs from the minimalist, to the colourful, and very creative ranges in artistic fevour.  So why don't you dive into your closet today and do a list of all the t-shirts you've got, and replace all those 'shrank' shirts (yeh offcourse they shrunk wink)
